ARMANDO BROJA ON THE RADAR OF SERIE A: CAGLIARI, UDINESE AND LAZIO IN THE RACE FOR THE ALBANIAN STRIKER

By Elite Sport Vizion ·

Armando Broja could be on the verge of a new adventure in Italian football. The Albanian international striker is attracting strong interest from several Serie A clubs, with Cagliari and Udinese having already opened official talks with Burnley regarding a potential loan move.

The 24-year-old spent just one season at Burnley following his permanent £20 million transfer from Chelsea, but injuries and a lack of consistent playing time prevented him from showcasing his full potential.

Serious Interest from Italy

Cagliari are among the clubs showing the strongest interest in Broja. The Sardinian side is looking to strengthen its attack and sees the Albanian forward as an ideal fit for its direct and physical style of play.

Meanwhile, Udinese have also entered negotiations with Burnley. The Friulian club has built a reputation for helping players revive their careers after difficult spells in the Premier League and believes Broja could flourish in Serie A.

More recently, Lazio have reportedly made inquiries about the striker, adding further competition for his signature.

2025–26 Season Statistics

During the previous campaign with Burnley, Broja recorded:

24 Premier League appearances 867 minutes played 1 goal 0 assists

For the Albanian national team, he registered:

12 appearances 575 minutes played 1 assist

His only Premier League goal came as a dramatic late equalizer against Bournemouth, earning Burnley a valuable point.

Serie A: The Perfect Opportunity for a Revival

Standing at 1.91 meters (6'3") tall, possessing top-end speed of 34.46 km/h, and excelling in aerial duels, Broja has many of the attributes that suit Italian football.

A move to Serie A would provide him with something he lacked at Burnley: regular first-team football. After being used as a substitute 16 times last season, the Albanian striker is searching for an environment where he can become the focal point of an attack.

Barcelona Monitoring the Situation

Interestingly, Broja’s name has also surfaced in discussions involving Barcelona. Reports suggest the Albanian forward was recently offered to the Catalan giants through intermediaries, while the Spanish club continues to monitor developments surrounding his future.

For now, Italy appears to be the most likely destination. The coming weeks are expected to be crucial in determining the future of one of Albania’s most important footballers.

Will Serie A be the stage where Armando Broja rediscovers his best form? The answer may arrive very soon.
