Erion Braçe Blasts Dinamo President: “This Is How You Disgrace Albania from Here to Argentina”
The Socialist MP criticizes Ardian Bardhi after footage showed cash bonuses being distributed in the locker room. Braçe demands financial transparency and questions the Albanian Football Association about UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations.
Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe has reacted strongly to a viral video from the FC Dinamo City locker room showing club president Ardian Bardhi distributing money to the players.
The footage was recorded after Dinamo’s 4–0 victory over Auda, a result that secured the Albanian club’s qualification for the UEFA Conference League play-off round.
In the video, Bardhi enters the locker room carrying a black plastic bag before throwing bundles of cash toward the players as a reward for their qualification.
The footage quickly spread across social media and was also published by international media outlets, including the Argentine sports newspaper Olé.
Braçe described the way the money was distributed as unacceptable and damaging to the image of Albanian football. According to him, sports financing and sponsorship must be conducted exclusively through legal channels, transparent accounts and properly documented financial procedures.
The Socialist MP also argued that footage of this nature makes it even more difficult to secure approval for legislation supporting sports sponsorship. He directly questioned the Albanian Football Association, asking whether UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations are being enforced.
Erion Braçe’s full statement, translated from Albanian:
WATCH THE VIDEO; THIS IS HOW YOU DISGRACE ALBANIA FROM HERE TO ARGENTINA—WITH MONEY CARRIED AROUND IN BLACK BAGS!
DIARIO OLÉ IS A MEDIA OUTLET IN ARGENTINA, AND THIS ALBANIAN FOOTAGE IS NOW CIRCULATING AROUND THE WORLD!
Listen: For a very long time, I opposed a sponsorship law focused on sports, particularly football. My position was based on the reality of money circulating in black bags throughout sports, especially football.
This footage proves that I was right, but it also proves that the finance ministers who opposed such legislation were right.
Because I am a football supporter—and everyone knows that—and because I have closely observed the financial difficulties faced by football clubs, which are heading toward ruin rather than development, and because the national team’s success is not helping football at every level, LAST NOVEMBER I PROPOSED A LAW ON SPORTS SPONSORSHIP!
I changed my position, yessssss! The Minister of Finance did not!
After seeing this footage, I honestly do not know how I can convince the Minister of Finance to accept that law.
Its core principle is that a portion of every company’s profits should go toward sports, BUT THROUGH LEGAL CHANNELS AND WITH TRANSPARENT, CLEAN FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS IN SPORTS.
NOT IN BLACK BAGS AND NOT BY THROWING MONEY IN THE PLAYERS’ FACES, LIKE DRUNKEN PEOPLE AT WEDDINGS OR IN TALLAVA VENUES!
THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ANYWHERE ELSE!
Honestly, I do not know what Dinamo’s president does in the rest of his life, meaning outside football, and I am not interested. However, I hope he is not involved in economic activity; otherwise, he would create major difficulties for the authorities responsible for enforcing fiscal law.
Finally, I have a question for the Albanian Football Association:
DOES UEFA FINANCIAL FAIR PLAY FUNCTION WITHIN YOUR INSTITUTION, WHICH ORGANIZES FOOTBALL COMPETITIONS?
This man with the black bags does not represent that—either in domestic competitions or international competitions such as the UEFA competition shown in the video!
The debate raised by Braçe is not about the sporting bonus itself, but about how it was distributed and the need for every payment in football to be declared, documented and transparent.
Braçe’s criticism represents his public position on the incident. The material provided does not include a response from Ardian Bardhi or FC Dinamo City.
