ERNEST MUÇI SHINES IN TURKEY, SCORING IN TRABZONSPOR’S FIVE-GOAL ROUT!
The Albanian international scored his first league goal of the season as Trabzonspor demolished Gençlerbirliği 5–0.
Ernest Muçi has opened his scoring account in the Turkish Süper Lig for the 2026–27 season. The Albanian international found the net in Trabzonspor’s emphatic 5–0 victory over Gençlerbirliği in the fourth round of the championship.
Muçi started the match and made his mark in the 59th minute. After receiving a pass from Mohamed Salah inside the penalty area, the 25-year-old calmly sent the ball beyond the goalkeeper to give Trabzonspor a 4–0 lead.
Just four minutes after scoring, Muçi was replaced by Melih Kabasakal. The Albanian had also received a yellow card in the 35th minute.
Trabzonspor celebrate with five goals
Paul Onuachu opened the scoring in the fifth minute and struck again in the 22nd. Mohamed Salah converted a penalty in the 14th minute, while Muçi and Franculino Dju completed the 5–0 triumph with their second-half goals.
The commanding victory came following the departure of head coach Fatih Tekke and under the temporary leadership of Hüseyin Çimşir. The result lifted Trabzonspor to seven points in the league standings.
A positive signal for Albania
Muçi’s goal is also excellent news for the Albanian national team. The attacking midfielder displayed composure and accuracy in front of goal, making the most of Salah’s assist.
After beginning the season without a goal, Ernest Muçi has now opened his account and returned to the spotlight in a Trabzonspor shirt—a performance that promises more to come from the Albanian star.
