Fiorentina Target Edon Zhegrova as Loan Deal Takes Shape
Fiorentina is closely monitoring Edon Zhegrova’s situation and considers the Juventus winger one of its main attacking targets for manager Fabio Grosso.
According to the latest reports from Italy, the Florence-based club is exploring the possibility of signing the Kosovo international on loan with an option to buy.
The proposed formula is similar to the structure Fiorentina is discussing with Juventus for Portuguese full-back João Mário.
Zhegrova is under contract with Juventus until June 30, 2030, and reportedly earns approximately €2.5 million net per season. His salary is considered manageable within Fiorentina’s budget.
Juventus signed the winger from Lille for €14.3 million, with an additional €1.2 million in related costs and up to €3 million in performance bonuses.
Due to the amortization of his transfer fee, Juventus would need to receive at least approximately €11.4 million to avoid recording a capital loss.
Zhegrova’s first season in Turin did not go according to expectations. The lingering effects of an adductor injury affected his physical condition and made it difficult for him to earn regular playing time.
The winger was used primarily as a substitute, accumulating fewer than 550 minutes across all competitions. He ended the campaign without scoring a goal or providing an assist.
As a result, Zhegrova is considered one of the players who could leave Juventus during the summer transfer window.
Fiorentina has emerged as one of the most concrete options, but it is not the only club interested in him.
Zhegrova has also been linked with Trabzonspor and other Turkish Süper Lig clubs, while Everton and Newcastle United have reportedly expressed preliminary interest in the past.
The potential agreement will depend on Juventus’ final position. Fiorentina prefers a loan with an option to buy, while the Turin club may insist on a permanent transfer or a loan carrying an obligation to purchase.
Talks remain at a preliminary stage, and no official offer has been confirmed.
However, the Fiorentina option is beginning to take shape and could provide Edon Zhegrova with an important opportunity to relaunch his career in Serie A.
