Florin Bratu: Partizani Is Improving Every Day, the Fans Expect Something Special

Partizani head coach Florin Bratu was pleased with his team’s performance in the friendly victory over Skënderbeu. Although it was only a preseason test, the Romanian coach praised his players’ intensity, tempo and physical condition.

In an interview with Partizani Channel, Bratu assessed the team’s training camp in Pogradec, discussed the Albanian Football Association’s new regulation and outlined Partizani’s objectives for the coming season.

“The players deserve the credit”

Bratu emphasized that the players deserved the credit for the encouraging performance because they were the ones competing on the pitch.

“I always think about the players because they are the ones who play on the pitch, not me. They produced a good performance against Skënderbeu. I told them that this must be only the beginning for us. When you work with this level of intensity, tempo and physical preparation, the team improves and grows every day,” the Partizani coach said.

The difference from the friendly against Besa

According to Bratu, the match against Besa had a different purpose. For that game, the coaching staff divided the squad into two teams to give playing time to every available player.

“For the match against Besa, we divided the players into two teams so that we could use the entire squad. The result was not important. I was more interested in the team’s reaction, the way the players asked for the ball and the technical side of our game,” he explained.

The coach acknowledged that Partizani is still only midway through its preseason preparations and has many areas to improve.

“We are currently in the middle of our preparations. We must continue working and demand more from ourselves because we still have a great deal to improve.”

Bratu demands balance between defence and attack

One of Bratu’s main objectives is to create a balanced team capable of performing effectively in both defence and attack.

“I like to create balance because football is made up of defence and attack. If we can establish that balance, then we can build something very good,” Bratu said.

The Romanian coach also wants to bring out the character and spirit of the squad, qualities he considers essential to Partizani’s future.

“We must show our team spirit because it is extremely important for our future. We can become better with every training session.”

Pleased with the conditions in Pogradec

Partizani is undergoing an intensive training camp in Pogradec, with two training sessions each day. Bratu thanked the club’s management and staff for providing the team with excellent working conditions.

“We have everything we need here. I want to thank the club’s management for all the conditions and opportunities they have provided. I would also like to thank the staff for their commitment. We can hold two training sessions each day, and we have everything a team needs to prepare in the best possible way,” he said.

Partizani ready for the new regulation

Bratu also discussed the Albanian Football Association’s new regulation, which requires every team to include at least one player born in 2007 in its starting lineup.

“We are ready for this new regulation. We must not forget that we are the Albanian U20 champions. Five talented young players are currently training with the first team,” he said.

Partizani will continue searching for other promising talents. After returning to Tirana, the coaching staff will keep scouting young players who could join the squad.

“Our approach to young players is very important because we can build something sustainable through them.”

The next test against Pogradeci

Partizani will play its next friendly match against Pogradeci on Friday. Bratu intends to use the game to assess every player and develop a clearer picture of his potential lineup.

“We will play against Pogradeci on Friday. They are a good team. Until then, we will continue with our training programme. I want to assess every player and develop the clearest possible picture of the squad,” he explained.

Finally, Bratu acknowledged that Partizani’s history and the importance of its shirt demand not only attractive football but also positive results.

“If we want to achieve something significant, we must also deliver results. We represent a major club like Partizani, and I know very well that the supporters expect something special.
