From Turkey – Fenerbahçe Return for Çalhanoğlu and Contact Inter: The Possible Offer Revealed

Hakan Çalhanoğlu has once again emerged as a major transfer target for Fenerbahçe. According to the latest reports from Turkey, officials from the Istanbul club have contacted Inter to discuss the possibility of signing the Turkish international midfielder.

Fenerbahçe had also pursued Çalhanoğlu during previous transfer windows, but the player’s desire to continue his career in Milan prevented negotiations from progressing. The midfielder subsequently remained one of the most important players in Cristian Chivu’s team.

Meeting in Milan over Çalhanoğlu

According to the Turkish newspaper FotoMaç, Fenerbahçe executive Cihan Kamer held talks with Inter representatives during his latest visit to Milan.

Kamer had initially travelled to Italy to discuss a potential move for Rafael Leão with AC Milan. However, he reportedly used the opportunity to open negotiations with Inter regarding Hakan Çalhanoğlu.

The Turkish club’s objective is to understand the financial conditions under which Inter would allow the 32-year-old to leave. Çalhanoğlu’s current contract expires on June 30, 2027.

Inter want €20 million

The latest reports claim that Inter could open the door to a transfer if Fenerbahçe submit an offer of approximately €20 million.

However, the Turkish club do not currently appear prepared to meet that valuation. Fenerbahçe reportedly hope to complete the deal for around €15 million, leaving a difference of €5 million between the two clubs.

Turkish media outlets have also mentioned higher figures ranging from €25 million to €40 million, but neither club has officially confirmed those amounts. Therefore, the reported valuations should currently be regarded as part of the negotiations and transfer speculation.

Çalhanoğlu open to the transfer

According to the same sources, Çalhanoğlu would be interested in the possibility of wearing the Fenerbahçe shirt. The midfielder has allegedly spoken with club president Aziz Yıldırım and expressed his willingness to move to Istanbul.

“I want to play for Fenerbahçe,” is the statement attributed to Çalhanoğlu by Turkish media, although the player has not publicly confirmed it.

Fenerbahçe reportedly intend to submit their offer within the next week. Inter, meanwhile, are not actively seeking to sell Çalhanoğlu, but could consider his departure if the proposed fee meets the club’s valuation.

The coming days will reveal whether these initial contacts develop into concrete negotiations or whether Çalhanoğlu will remain one of the leading figures in Inter’s midfield.
