The Albanian international concludes a fantastic tournament in the United States with four goals, one assist, and the competition’s top-scorer award.
Myrto Uzuni has another individual trophy to add to his career achievements.
The Austin FC forward has officially been crowned the top scorer of the 2026 Leagues Cup after finishing the competition with four goals in four appearances.
Uzuni shared first place in the scoring standings with Colombian forward Daniel Arcila of Club León, who also scored four goals.
⚽ THE HAT-TRICK THAT SET THE TOURNAMENT ALIGHT
Uzuni’s most spectacular performance came against Puebla.
The Albanian striker completed a hat-trick within the opening 34 minutes, leading Austin FC to an impressive 3–0 victory.
Uzuni scored in the following minutes:
⚽ 4’ — Direct free kick ⚽ 7’ — Following an assist from Christian Ramirez ⚽ 34’ — A superb volley from Facundo Torres’ corner
It was only the second hat-trick in Austin FC history.
🦁 UZUNI ALSO STRUCK AGAINST CLUB AMÉRICA
But the show did not end there.
In the highly anticipated match against Club América, Austin FC trailed 1–0 when Uzuni stepped up and took responsibility.
In the 67th minute, the Albanian international scored the equalizer to make it 1–1 and send the contest to a penalty shootout.
Austin FC won the shootout 6–5, with Uzuni also successfully converting his penalty.
In Austin’s opening match of the tournament—a 2–0 victory over Tijuana—Uzuni also provided the assist for Joseph Rosales’ opening goal.
