Inter’s Transfer-Market Domino Effect: Roma Target Luis Henrique, Spence Talks Revived and Pavard Set to Sta
Inter’s transfer activity could be unlocked by Roma’s interest in Luis Henrique. The Brazilian’s potential move to the Italian capital would reshape the Nerazzurri’s plans on the flanks, while Benjamin Pavard is increasingly likely to remain in Milan.
Roma Target Luis Henrique
Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma have made initial enquiries about Luis Henrique, who struggled to establish himself consistently during his first season in Milan.
The Brazilian is reportedly open to the move, but Inter are demanding approximately €30 million for his services. The Nerazzurri signed him from Marseille for around €23 million a year ago and are hoping to make a profit from his departure.
Negotiations are still at a preliminary stage. However, Roma are considering submitting an offer worth between €25 million and €30 million.
If the deal is completed, Inter would obtain the funds needed to accelerate several other transfer operations.
Djed Spence Returns to Inter’s Radar
Following Denzel Dumfries’ departure, Inter need to strengthen the right flank. One player who has re-emerged as a leading target is Djed Spence, the Tottenham Hotspur and England wing-back.
The London club are reportedly asking for approximately €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses. That figure is almost identical to the amount Inter hope to receive from the potential sale of Luis Henrique.
The Nerazzurri could wait until the final days of the transfer window in the hope that Tottenham will lower their demands. However, Inter also want to avoid increased competition and are assessing whether to accelerate negotiations.
If Luis Henrique leaves, signing Spence alone would not be enough. Inter would also require another wide player, as the Brazilian’s departure would create an additional gap on the left.
A move for Moussa Diaby remains complicated because of the financial demands involved in negotiating with Al-Ittihad. Nico Gonzalez is another player being monitored. The Argentine has returned to Juventus following his spell at Atletico Madrid but is not part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans.
Pavard Impresses Chivu and Moves Closer to Staying
Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard’s situation has changed significantly. The French defender initially appeared destined to leave Milan, but his commitment and attitude during pre-season have impressed head coach Cristian Chivu.
Pavard returned from his loan spell at Marseille with renewed motivation and has shown that he is ready to make himself fully available to the team.
The Frenchman can operate as part of a three-man defence as well as at right-back. His versatility makes him a valuable option for Chivu, particularly in a defensive unit that also includes Stones, Akanji, Bastoni and Bisseck.
Inter would still evaluate any major offer for Pavard, but at present, his stay at the club is considered the most likely outcome.
Inter’s transfer window could therefore develop into a genuine domino effect: Luis Henrique’s possible sale to Roma would pave the way for Djed Spence and potentially another wide player, while Pavard would continue his career in Milan.
