
Kosovo Crowned FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026 Division C Champions
Kosovo completed an undefeated tournament with a commanding performance in the final. Albania Claim the Bronze Medal
SHKODRA, Albania — Kosovo were crowned FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026 Division C champions after defeating Andorra 91–49 in Sunday’s final.
Kosovo controlled the game from the opening tip and never allowed their victory to come into doubt, outscoring Andorra in all four quarters.
They ended the opening period with a seven-point advantage before winning the second quarter 21–11 to take a 17-point lead into halftime.
Any hopes of an Andorran comeback disappeared after the break. Kosovo dominated the third quarter 21–7, putting the result beyond doubt and turning the final period into a formality.
Besim Bytyqi Named Tournament MVP
Besim Bytyqi was the standout performer in both the final and the tournament. He completed the championship game with 26 points, four rebounds, five assists and six steals.
Thanks to his exceptional performances, Bytyqi was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
Lis Binishi also made an important contribution, recording 12 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Binishi was also selected for the tournament’s All-Star Five.
The victory marked Kosovo’s first Division C title since 2018 and completed a perfect, undefeated run to the trophy.
Albania Claim the Bronze Medal
Earlier on Sunday, host nation Albania secured third place and the bronze medal with a convincing 101–61 victory over Malta.
Albania immediately took control of the game, winning the opening quarter 27–8. The Red and Blacks maintained their advantage and dominated the contest until the final buzzer.
Genti Nilo led Albania with 19 points, five rebounds, 10 assists and two steals.
Eno Kotori recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while also contributing five assists and two steals.
The tournament in Shkodra concluded with Kosovo at the top of the podium, Andorra in second place and Albania finishing third.
