Marcus Rashford Bids Farewell to Barcelona and Returns to Manchester United

Marcus Rashford has officially confirmed that his spell with Barcelona has come to an end.

The Catalan club decided in June not to activate the option—reportedly worth around €30 million—to sign the England international permanently.

Barcelona will not bring Rashford back on another loan, officially closing this chapter of his career.

In an emotional farewell message, the 28-year-old thanked the club, his teammates and the supporters for everything they gave him during his time in Catalonia.

“I’m extremely grateful to everyone at the club for turning my time here into such a positive and unforgettable experience,” Rashford wrote.

“I have loved every moment and will surely carry those special memories with me.”

The English forward wished Barcelona and its supporters the best of luck and great success in the new season.

Rashford concluded his message with the club’s famous phrase: “Visca Barça!”

During his season in Spain, he made 49 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists, while also contributing to Barcelona’s La Liga title triumph.

Despite his positive performances, Barcelona’s management decided to invest in other attacking options.

Rashford will now return to Manchester United and rejoin the club for preseason training.

However, his future at Old Trafford remains uncertain.

United are expected to consider any offers that arrive for the forward before the summer transfer window closes.

Rashford’s Barcelona adventure therefore ends as a short but memorable chapter filled with goals, trophies and special moments.
