Mohamed Salah Closing in on Beşiktaş as Deal Reaches Final Stages

By Elite Sport Vizion ·

Mohamed Salah’s free transfer to Beşiktaş has entered its final stages. The Turkish club’s new head coach, Vincenzo Italiano, has strongly pushed for the signing of the Egyptian superstar.

Salah became a free agent after terminating his Liverpool contract early following serious disagreements with manager Arne Slot. The Egyptian winger has chosen to remain in European football, rejecting lucrative offers worth more than €20 million per season from Saudi Arabia.

Financial Terms and Contract Details

The recent slowdown in negotiations was caused exclusively by the high commission demanded by Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas. The player’s representative initially requested a payment of €7.5 million.

That obstacle has reportedly been overcome after Salah’s representatives lowered their demands, allowing Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı to submit the club’s final formal offer:

Salary: Approximately €10–12 million net per season. Bonuses: Around €2 million linked to individual performances and sporting objectives. Contract: Until 2027, or an initial one-year agreement with an automatic option for an additional season.

Salah’s lawyer has already arrived in Istanbul to finalize the paperwork and arrange the medical examinations ahead of the official signing.

The arrival of a global superstar such as Salah could also become a powerful recruitment tool for Vincenzo Italiano. Beşiktaş officials hope to use the imminent announcement to convince another major free agent, former Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović, to join the Turkish club’s ambitious project.
