NELSON HYSA WINS BY TKO IN LONDON — THE “ALBANIAN EAGLE” REMAINS UNDEFEATED!

Nelson Hysa continues his unstoppable journey in professional boxing. The Albanian heavyweight defeated Norway’s Thomas Narmo by technical knockout in the second round at London’s O2 Arena on August 29.

The contest brought together two undefeated heavyweights. Hysa entered the ring with a 24–0 record, including 22 knockout victories, while Narmo had won all 14 of his professional fights inside the distance.

Together, the two fighters had accumulated 38 victories and 36 knockouts. But in London, it was the Albanian who imposed his power, experience and devastating punching ability.

One right hand ended it all

After using the opening round to study his opponent and wait for the right opportunity, Hysa immediately increased the pressure in the second.

Just 36 seconds into the round, the 41-year-old Albanian landed a powerful right hand to Narmo’s head, sending the Norwegian crashing to the canvas.

Narmo managed to get back to his feet, but he had not recovered his balance and his legs remained unsteady. After assessing his condition, the referee stepped in and immediately stopped the fight.

The victory was officially recorded as a second-round TKO, while Narmo suffered the first defeat of his professional career. He received immediate medical attention after the stoppage and was later able to leave the ring without assistance.

Hysa retains the WBO Global crown

The bout was contested for the WBO Global heavyweight title, which Hysa had previously won in October 2025 by defeating the unbeaten Croatian Abel Pesut in Tirana.

Pesut had also entered that contest without a defeat, but failed to answer the bell for the beginning of the fourth round. With his victory over Narmo, Hysa has now defeated two previously unbeaten opponents in consecutive fights.

Following his triumph in London, the “Albanian Eagle” now holds an impressive professional record:

That record confirms Hysa’s status as one of Albania’s most powerful heavyweight boxers and as a contender who deserves a major opportunity on the international stage.

Victory on one of boxing’s biggest nights

The importance of Hysa’s victory was enhanced by the stage on which it was achieved. His bout formed part of a major boxing event at the O2 Arena, headlined by the heavyweight clash between Moses Itauma and Filip Hrgović.

The card was broadcast internationally by DAZN and featured several important contests. Hysa–Narmo was scheduled for 10 rounds, but the Albanian needed fewer than four minutes of boxing to finish the job.

Winning in London, inside one of the world’s most famous arenas and before a large international audience, represents far more than another victory on Hysa’s record. It was a direct message to the heavyweight elite: Nelson Hysa is ready for a top-level opponent.

Heated confrontation with Agit Kabayel

Following his victory, Hysa was also involved in a heated verbal confrontation at ringside with heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel. Security personnel intervened before the situation could escalate.

Hysa accused leading fighters in the division of avoiding him and called on promoters to arrange a major bout for him. He specifically mentioned Kabayel as one of the opponents he would like to face.

After 25 consecutive victories and 23 knockouts, the question is no longer whether Hysa deserves a major opportunity.

The question is: who will agree to step into the ring against him?
