FC Dinamo City is ready to begin its European campaign. The Albanian club will face FC Astana in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League First Qualifying Round, aiming to take an important step toward the next stage of the competition.

Speaking at the official pre-match press conference, head coach Ilir Daja praised the Kazakh side but stressed that Dinamo City will take to the field with confidence and ambition.

"We know we are facing a team with tremendous experience, not only in Kazakh football, where they have won numerous titles, but also in European competitions. Astana have played in the group stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. They are currently in the 17th round of their domestic championship and are at their peak competitive rhythm. Furthermore, their coach has been with the club for several years and has built a well-established playing identity," Daja said.

Despite acknowledging Astana's strengths, the Dinamo coach insisted his team will not be intimidated.

"We will give our maximum. We will respect our opponents, but above all we will respect ourselves. We will try to find the right strategy to get the best possible result from tomorrow's match."

Daja also highlighted the importance of experience in European fixtures, calling on his senior players to assume greater responsibility on the pitch.

"I am an optimistic coach and I always see the glass half full. It is very positive for us that this is our second consecutive season playing in Europe. Last season we reached the play-off round, and that experience has given us even more confidence."

The Dinamo manager also reminded everyone that qualification will not be decided in just one match.

"Qualification is decided over 180 minutes. We will think not only about attacking but also about maintaining balance, so we do not give our opponents opportunities."

Bruno Dita: "We Believe We Can Eliminate Astana"

Club captain Bruno Dita also expressed confidence ahead of the encounter, praising the team's preparation and believing Dinamo City has what it takes to progress.

"We are optimistic because we have worked very hard during pre-season. We hope to put in a strong performance and eliminate Astana."

Dita reflected on the club's successful European run last season, emphasizing that the team wants to go even further this year.

"Last season we had a very good campaign, and we hope to reach the play-offs again this year, and why not even qualify for the UEFA Conference League group stage."

Regarding the summer transfer window, the captain admitted the club had lost some quality players but expressed confidence in the new arrivals.

"The players who left had great quality, but I believe those who have joined us will also contribute a lot throughout this season."

Finally, Dita stressed the importance of the opening match.

"The first match is extremely important, and we hope to come through it successfully."

Dinamo City will look to make the most of home advantage and secure a positive result against an experienced Astana side before the return leg in Kazakhstan. The objective is clear: take the first step toward qualification for the second round of the UEFA Conference League.
