British and Portuguese media report that Ronaldo and Georgina have chosen the historic Funchal Cathedral to exchange their wedding vows.

The approximately 500-year-old cathedral is located in Madeira’s capital, on the island where Ronaldo was born and spent the early years of his life before beginning his journey to the summit of world football.

Choosing Funchal would make the ceremony particularly emotional for Portugal’s legendary captain.

Reception at the luxurious Savoy Palace
